DAPL Teach-In: Candlelight Standing Rock Solidarity March

  • Spokane River Centennial Trl Spokane, WA 99202 (map)

All members of the Gonzaga community are welcome to join a candlelight march along the Spokane River. The goal is to show solidarity and to walk the river as a symbol of our commitment to our resources and wider community.

Signs are encouraged, but not required. Some candles will be provided, but feel free to bring your own.

The march will start a bit after 4pm near the Gonzaga-side of the footbridge (near the Law School) and head down stream, exiting at the Schoenberg Building (shaped to look like a partial teepee) to rally at the at the far west end of campus at the Native American statue in front of Schoenberg. After the solidarity march we may have a showing of the movie RISE about the struggle at Standing Rock. Stay tuned.
