Mindfulness in Action at the People's Climate Mobilization

  • Washington DC and around the world (map)

You're invited to join Buddhist and Mindfulness communities in Washington DC and around the world on the April 29 at the People’s Climate Mobilization. Together we can bring the gifts of mindfulness and the Dharma and join with others in calling for the viability, dignity and freedom of all beings, near and far, born and yet to be born. Not merely a single march, this is a mobilization of the our communities to mindfully and energetically engage in the cause of environmental health and justice.

If you're within a 12-hour drive, we invite you to join the main event in Washington DC where we'll be gathering as a community on the morning of Saturday, April 29th. The exact location is still being worked out so stay tuned. Learn more about transportation options and sister marches here: http://OneEarthSangha.org/programs/peoples-climate-mobilization.

The Buddhist participation in the People’s Climate Mobilization is being spearheaded by One Earth Sangha and is joined by members from the Earth Holders Sangha (from the Thich Nhan Hanh tradition), Shambhala, Insight, Zen, Soka-Gakkai, and other traditions as well as the Buddhist Climate Action Network (BCAN) and Compassion NYC all of whom have engaged in environmental/climate action previously or are now stepping up to do so.

We invite you to put your practice into action and get involved! Learn more and stay up to date with the People’s Climate Mobilization event page on One Earth Sangha.
