Care about clean water? Attend this information session hosted by PEC and the Virginia Conservation Network to learn how to protect the water in your backyard and advocate for clean water at the state and federal level! Enjoy light refreshments and meet other clean water advocates. Learn about best management practices, citizen water quality monitoring and other ways to get engaged in water issues in your community.

More About the Event:
There will be a series of short presentations followed by a question and answer period. PEC will be present on our Headwaters Stream Initiative on the Upper Rappahannock and our experience at Roundabout Meadows enhancing water quality while maintaining a viable cattle farm. John Marshall Soil and Water Conservation District and Goose Creek Association will both speak to ways that residents can protect water resources in their community. And Virginia Conservation Network will connect the dots on complicated changes to the federal Clean Water Act and Farm Bill so that we can be a more informed advocates for our water resources.
