Chatham 401 Permit Hearing on Mountain Valley Pipeline

  • Chatham High School Auditorium 100 Chatham Cavalier Circle Chatham, VA, 24531 United States (map)

The construction of the Mountain Valley Pipeline will endanger the lives and safety of countless Virginian citizens and threatens to contaminate state water and irreversibly damage the Virginia landscape. Make your voice heard at the Department of Environmental Quality public hearing as part of the 401 certification process. Say no to the pipeline in your community to protect our water, environment and health.

Both the Atlantic Coast and Mountain Valley pipelines are dangerous and unnecessary. Along the proposed route of the pipeline, construction and use could cause destruction of the environment, pollution in our water, and gas explosions. This is all for a pipeline to carry gas fracked from the ground that ties Virginia into a dirty fossil fuel future. Join your friends and neighbors at this public hearing to make your voice heard and protect our communities!
