Anti-fracking: Worship for Witness

  • Barley Road Burnley, England, BB12 United Kingdom (map)

Pendle Hill Quakers invite you to join them in taking action on fracking. In 1652, founder of Quakerism George Fox climbed Pendle Hill in Lancashire. There, he had a vision of “great many people to be gathered", a moment of deep inspiration for his ministry.

Today, Pendle Hill is in the midst of areas licensed for the exploration of shale gas, commonly known as Fracking. This link shows the areas affected: https://drillordrop.com/lancashire-licences/

Pendle Hill Friends invite you to join them for a 'Meeting for Witness' at 2pm on 6th May 2017 on Pendle Hill to bring attention to the injustice of fracking, and call on those in power to ban it.

There is parking at Barley village for access up the steep end.
