TransCanada Energy East Pipeline-

This $15.7 billion, 4,600-kilometre pipeline will carry 1.1-million barrels of crude oil per day from Alberta and Saskatchewan to refineries in Eastern Canada. This pipeline poses a huge problem with First Nations and municipalities in Quebec. In light of the approval of the Keystone XL pipeline to bring oil from Canada in to the U.S. by President Trump, this pipeline is still waiting for approval but TransCanada is still committed to pushing this pipeline forward and believe it will become a reality. The mega-pipeline would put nearly 3,000 lakes, rivers and streams at risk of oil spills and threaten the drinking water of nearly 5.6 million Canadians.

Who’s fighting this pipeline?-
