Rally & March for Indigenous Peoples Day (Sept 30 Houston TX)

  • Sam Houston Monument At Hermann Park 7601 Fannin St Houston, Texas 77030 (map)

Many blessings to you all.

Please join us on this Saturday at the Sam Houston Monument in Hermann Park. We will gather and begin witha unity ceremony as one people. Following this, leadership and representatives from supporting movements will be asked to speak.

We are calling for all medicine carriers of Turtle Island to bring your medicines and drums, they will be needed at the front of the procession heading to Bell Park, where the image of Christopher Columbus stands as a symbol of oppression to the people of this place. We will make offerings and prayers here to our countless ancestors all across Turtle Island who were murdered as a result of Colonization, a virus that continues to infect to this day. Following this ceremony we again invite leadership and representatives as well as individuals to speak and give expressions.

We invite our brothers and sisters of ALL walks to stand with us in solidarity, and to bring their medicines to the front of the procession as well.

Together, we share a common suffering and continued oppression. Let us unite in our efforts to remove symbols of ignorance and oppression and may we together help each other heal from the genetic wounds of our ancestors, left by these heinously glorified savages.

Together We Rise! Together We Heal!
