West Texas Water Protectors is an Austin-based group focused on education of Texans and advocation for the protection of our water and earth, especially the pristine Balmorhea Springs State Park. The Trans Pecos Pipeline (TPP) is racing across the land, almost finished. Now, Apache Oil has 3500 fracking sites planned. Learn more about this from our advocates, and Louis Moncivias and Sasha Rose.

"She Sings to the Stars” is an exploration of another culture, even an alternate universe, one at ease with the supernatural, living practically unnoticed next door to the modern American culture with which we're all familiar, the two sometimes coexisting with difficulty within the same person. The story is told at the unhurried pace of that other culture. Larry Cedar is amazing. Fannie Loretto is warm and wise and without guile and grounds the movie, and Jesus Mayorga is solid and magnetic as one who's at sea between two worlds. The desert imagery is beautiful and beautifully photographed; it has the importance of another character. The two kinds of magic in the story work seamlessly. It's not an ordinary look at the world, but you may find the images and the vision coming back to mind well after you've finished watching.
