Lancaster Water Week

  • Lancaster County Conservancy 117 South West End Avenue Lancaster, PA, 17603 United States

Lancaster County is blessed with 1,500 stream miles. Forty-seven percent of these streams are polluted and cannot support their original aquatic life. Our rivers and streams are the source of our drinking water and recreation to be enjoyed by all. Our waterways drive economic opportunity and growth that benefits our local economy and agriculture. To protect these waters, we want to strengthen the sense of stewardship in Lancaster County. Water Connects Us All!

During Water Week you can expect tours of restoration projects, stream studies, kayak and bike tours, a movie night, river clean-up, riparian buffer tree planting, and a branded Water Week beer. Events include Susquehanna Riverlands National Trails Day Celebration along the Northwest River Trail, the Chiques Creek Watershed Expo, and Lancaster Conservancy’s Picnic on the Preserve.
