Camp Medic Orientation and Training

Are you interested in keeping everyone safe and healthy at an encampment or direct action scenario? Are you a health-care practitioner or first responder? Are you an herbalist or healer? 

Lancaster Against Pipelines will be hosting a Camp Medic Orientation and Training at The Lancaster Stand in Conestoga, March 17th. This will be a one full day to prepare folks who would like to fill the role of action camp medic.

Encampment medical care
Heat and Cold-related illness
Viral and other infectious diseases
GI illnesses
Basic sanitation
Hydration
Environmental
Stress and emotional support  
Police weapons and tactics
Jail-Support and Aftercare
Will include a special section on issues specific to licensed medical providers

Please bring:
personal needs (water bottle, coffee mug, snacks, warm clothes, rain gear, boots)
bagged lunch
Notebook/pens
Medical gear you already use (eg. a run-bag)
comfortable seating (eg. pillows, cushion, chair)

$10-20 suggested donation. No one turned away for lack of funds.

NOTE! This IS NOT a 20 hour STREET MEDIC TRAINING! This training is for folks interested in Camp Health Care. Though we will discuss basic Action Medic material, we will barely scratch the surface.
