On behalf of the People’s Climate Movement in Portland, we invite you to a FREE 1-day training on the best practices of nonviolent direct action. Included content: the history and philosophy of nonviolence, centering exercises to help de-escalate a situation, an introduction to how Greenpeace employs nonviolent direct action, and a focus on developing peacekeeping skills to make movements more inclusive and effective.

This training is part of the People’s Climate Movement happening on the 100th day of the Trump Administration. People will be in the streets of Portland, D.C, and around the country to show the world and our leaders that we will resist attacks on our people, our communities and our planet.

Portland Peace Team is an independent, nonpartisan group that provides: A trained nonviolent presence.Where possible, de-escalation of destructive conflict. Training and education in nonviolence and de-escalation skills for individuals and groups.
