Convocation: Our Week at Standing Rock

  • Cone Chapel at Willamette University Salem, Oregon (map)

A group from Willamette University arrived at Oceti Sakowin camp on the night of November 20, 2016. The night became a defining moment in understanding the significance of the #NoDAPL movement. Oceti Sakowin camp served as the main camp site on the Standing Rock Sioux reservation in North Dakota, where active protest was occurring against the Dakota Pipelines.

Liz Bahe, Montreal Gray Alexus Uentille and Sadarah Witherspoon will share their experiences protesting the North Dakota Access Pipeline at Oceti Sakowin camp on the Standing Rock Sioux reservation.
