Petition Against the Atlantic Coast Pipeline

  • Wake Forest University 1834 Wake Forest Road Winston-Salem, NC, 27109 United States

The Atlantic Coast Pipeline is a 600 interstate natural gas transmission pipeline that stretches from fracking sites in West Virginia to Robeson County, North Carolina. The pipeline will effect native ancestrial sites along its path and ends in the town of Prospect which has a population that is 96% native (mostly Lumbee). Dominion, the company responsible for constructing the pipeline, has accrued over $28 million in environmental violation fines since 2010. This pipeline has risks of explosion and leaks.

There will be a petition signing in front of the Pit on Tuesday April 19th and Wednesday April 20th. Please come and sign the petition and learn more about the pipeline and the indigenous people it will effect.
