What is being done with the glut of volatile Bakken crude oil stacking up in Albany? It is being put into 40+ huge barges and parked in the scenic Hudson River.
We and the Hudson have had enough of the oil invasion!
Oil trains run along one side, the Spectra-AIM pipeline was put under the river next to the aging Indian Point Nuclear Plant, and now towns from Kingston to Yonkers face an invasion of floating oil storage tanks that are vulnerable to accidents, could come unmoored, willleak over time, and pose a security risk.
At this event you will learn more about this and what we can do. We will have a well-informed guest speaker from Riverkeeper.
