Stop Williams Transco Pipeline: Public Meeting

  • Keyport High School 351 Broad St Keyport, New Jersey 07735 (map)

Williams Transco has proposed a 23.4 mile pipeline to expand its existing transmission system to transport natural gas from the Marcellus Shale through Raritan Bay to New York. If built, the pipeline will disrupt YOUR fishing, boating, and recreational activities.

Construction of the pipeline would also distrub 14,000 acres of habitat for clams, horseshoe crabs, fish, and other marine animals.

This is also a step backward for our energy policy & the environment by committing the region to more fossil fuel infrastrucutre projects that are unnecesary and make it more difficult for renewables to enter the market.
