Tobacco Ceremony for Water Walk for Life

Join us for a Tobacco Ceremony for the Water Walk for Life on Tuesday, March 7th at 12:30pm EST at Split Rock Sweetwater Camp (95 Halifax Road, Mahwah, NJ 07470). In the evening from 6pm-8pm, we will have a potluck and guest speakers at the Ramapough Community Center (189 Stag Hill Road, Mahwah, NJ 07470).

The Water Walk for Life--8days/90 miles, will begin in NJ on March 4th, head north through NJ. On March 7th, walkers will reach Split Rock Sweetwater Prayer Camp and participate in a Tobacco Ceremony with the Ramapough Lenape tribe, stay at the community center overnight, then cross Rockland into Nyack. Next night will be at Stony Point, then March 10th head to DC for Native March, then March 11th to Westchester, vigil at Indian Point/6th Anniversary Fukushima, closing water ceremony on Hudson.
