Resistance for Water & Life: Report Back from Standing Rock

  • Ramapough Lenape Community Center 189 Stag Hill Road Mahwah, NJ, 07430 United States (map)

This event is being organized in cojuction with Phillipine Solidarity week, which begins on the anniversary of the Phillipine-American War on Feruary 4th.

Indigenous warriors & water protectors are coming from the frontlines of Standing Rock & the fight against the Black Snake Dakota Access Pipeline to share stories of resistance and report backs with us on the East Coast!

Mothers Against Meth Alliance out of the Pine Ridge Reservation in so called South Dakota has been fighting the Dakota Access Pipeline from the very beginning. They are building resistance to colonization in the many forms in which it manifests––in the Black Snake pipelines and addiction in both bodies and minds––wherever resource extraction is imposed onto our land and our people.
We see the ways that colonization has attacked our people, but our warriors are strong and OUR ARROWS ARE SHARP.
