Final Day of Trial: NJ vs. Ramapough Court Support (Oct 31 Hackensack NJ)

  • Bergen County Court House 10 Main St Hackensack, New Jersey 07601 (map)

Stand with the Ramapough Lenape Nation as they enter their final day of trial on Tuesday, October 31st from 9am-4pm at Bergen County Court House in Hackensack, NJ - court room tentatively 426. Please spread the word, arrive early, and wear RED!

The Town of Mahwah, NJ is claiming an egregious amount of land use violations (totaling up to $40,000) against the Ramapough Lenape Nation over the use of their ceremonial lands. As it stands, they are claiming the Ramapough do not have the right to assemble for prayer or cultural activities on their own land, and that erecting teepees are in violation of local zoning ordinances because they are considered "permanent structures."

Please help pack the court room to show the Ramapough Lenape Nation do not stand alone!
