Standing Rock Today and Protecting Our Water

  • Macalester College 1600 Grand Ave Saint Paul, Minnesota 55105 (map)

SATURDAY NIGHT: "STANDING ROCK TODAY AND PROTECTING OUR WATER" Its a heartfilled evening with our beautiful Indigenous women speaking for the earth and water.
with Phyllis Young, Standing Rock Elder and Water Protector, joined by Pearl Means and an opening with local Water Walker Sharon Day.

Note: During this evening event, there will be a participatory “Waters of the World” ceremony. If you’d like to participate, please feel free to bring a small water offerin from your local watershed!

Standing Rock attracted the attention of the world in its historic gathering to fight against the building of the Dakota access pipeline that would risk polluting the water supply. Now, in the aftermath of what appeared to be a failure, behind the scenes the fight continues with successes and many other pipeline front-line camps now being built.

Additionally, efforts have been catalyzed to help the Standing Rock reservation transition to sustainable enterprises, alternative sources of energy, cultural healing, and permaculture projects. Learn what happened at Standing Rock, the water protector movement that is going strong, and the great efforts currently underway that will continue to inspire the world.

We invite all Water Protectors to this Sat evening as our guest, free of charge! We are also offering all Water Protectors a substantially discounted ticket for the whole weekend conference. Please message for info and discount code.
