Pack the Room to Resist the Line 3 Pipeline!

  • State of Minnesota Public Utilities Commission 121 7th Pl E Saint Paul, Minnesota 55101

Join MN350, the Sierra Club North Star Chapter, and others at the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission on Thursday! We need to pack the room so that we're showing at every possible opportunity how many Minnestans oppose the controversial Line 3 tar sands pipeline proposal. Afterwards, everyone is invited to a debrief and next steps conversation at Golden's Lowertown.

This is a regular PUC meeting. Citizens will not be allowed to speak -- the important thing is to be present with our bodies. We'll have anti-pipeline stickers to wear, and if you have any clothing with pipeline fighting messaging, wear that. Signs are not allowed in the PUC meeting room.

The PUC will be considering whether to allow the state agency in charge of environmental review for Line 3 -- the Department of Commerce -- to hire an outside technical expert to give a "second opinion" on some of Enbridge's claims. With a project like this, more and better-informed environmental review is important. The PUC will also be considering a request by Honor the Earth to revisit a decision about how many public meetings to hold and where to hold them.

START AT 9:30AM: Minnesota Public Utilities Commission, 121 7th Pl E, St. Paul, MN 55101 -- Room 350. Meeting length is unknown, but is likely to be between 30 minutes and three hours based on past experience. After the Line 3 section of the meeting is done, we'll head to Golden's Lowertown at 275 4th St E for a debrief and discussion.

JOIN US ON THURSDAY THE 18TH AND SHOW THE PUC THAT WE SAY #STOPLINE3 IN MINNESOTA!
