About Lyla June. Of Navaho and Cheyenne lineage, with a degree from Stanford University, this peot, songwriter, spokesperson and performer puts into words the power of prayer. Lyla June has been a force in the historic environmental event at the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota, where Native Americans have unified to protect water and stop an oil pipeline that threatens the water supply of millions. This gathering attracted worldwide recogntion and has galvanized legions of supporters.
