Brennon Nastacio is a water protector who served as the head at Pueblo Camp at the Standing Rock protests this past year. Samantha Magdaleno is a Detroit-based Immigration Rights activist and organizer whose work took her to Standing Rock. At this event they will be reflecting on their activism and organizing, examining questions like: How do coalitions between movements get built? What challenges and benefits do these coalitions create? How are experiences of state violence shaping contemporary social movements in the United States? How can we talk about and respond to connected struggles in meaningful and nuanced ways?
