CCAN Camp-Out to Stop the Potomac Pipeline

  • Antietam Creek Campsite C&O Canal National Historical Park Sharpsburg, MD 21782 (map)

Join CCAN on Friday, July 28 for an overnight camp-out to stop Transcanada's pipeline under the Potomac!

TransCanada wants to build a fracked-gas pipeline under the treasured Potomac River -- the drinking water source for over six million people. That's why we're banding up with groups across Maryland and West Virginia for a summerlong rolling encampment to stop this pipeline in its tracks.

During our camp-out, we'll call on Governor Hogan to complete Maryland’s fracking ban by rejecting TransCanada’s risky pipeline. If Governor Hogan truly supports a ban on fracking in Maryland, he must also reject gas pipelines that rely on fracking in neighboring states.

Governor Hogan can complete Maryland’s fracking ban by directing the Maryland Department of the Environment to reject the project’s water quality certificates under the Clean Water Act.
