TD Bank NoDAPL Protest

Join us in standing with Standing Rock against the Dakota Access Pipeline as we demand that TD Bank ends their line of credit in the pipeline.

We will meet at the Coffin parking lot at 1, drive to Congress Square Park in Portland, and march from there to TD Bank. At the bank, we will stand outside state our demands, give speeches, and sing. This will be a non-violent protest.

With President Trump in office, much of our progress towards blocking the pipeline has been undone. In fact, Energy Transfer Partners, the Dakota Access Pipeline construction company, has gotten the green light to continue building again. Our protests and fights this fall were important, but now they are more imperative and urgent than ever. We are no longer merely fighting against fossil fuel corporations and banks - this resistance is extended the to climate-denying Trump administration as well.

While primarily an issue of indigenous sovereignty, protecting clean water is an issue that affects all of us, and we ask all who are able to stand with us. We must stand with those protecting their water, sacred grounds, and their future and oppose the continued extraction of fossil fuels.

We will be carpooling, so please let us know if you have a car.
