Solidarity with Standing Rock: Opposing Forced Eviction

  • Pulver, Colby College 4000 Mayflower Hill Drive Waterville, ME, 04901 United States (map)

Stand in solidarity with Standing Rock Sioux! Despite the danger that DAPL poses to the Standing Rock Sioux Nation’s water sources, health, and ways of living, the Army Corps of Engineers has granted the easement allowing Energy Transfer Partners to begin drilling under Missouri River/Lake Oahe. They have demanded that the protest camps be closed by Wednesday Feb 22 despite the threat it poses for the present and future generations.

On this day, Feb 22 at 3:30pm, join us in Pulver to protest this injustice and symbolically cut through DAPL across Miller Lawn. We will march together to Miller steps to hear about the resistance’s recent developments. We will end around 4 pm.

Then join us at 7pm in the Pugh center to watch live streams of the protests in North Dakota who aim to make a Last Stand: to hold the Army Corps of Engineers accountable for their actions.

Organized by Four Winds.
