JOIN US for a special documentary film and dscussion event supporting Native American languages and culture.

FILM: Rising Voices/ Hótȟaŋiŋpi is the award-winning documentary about the Lakota people's efforts to save their language. It was broadcast on PBS stations nationwide.

TALK: with Alayna Lee Eagle Shield of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, a Lakota Language speaker, activist and instructor at Sitting Bull College who appears in the film. Plus linguists from The Language Conservancy, working in partnership with Native American communities across the US to help revitalize languages.
