Hands Across the Sand 2017

  • Pompano Beach Pier 222 North Pompano Beach Boulevard Pompano Beach, FL, 33062 United States (map)

Take a stand against dirty energy!

Join us for Hands Across the Sand Broward! RAIN OR SHINE!

We're joining hands against fracking, pipelines, the destruction of our waters, and Everglades and to support green jobs, and a greener Broward county.

We will meet at the pier on Pompano Beach, on the south side.

11:30-11:45 a.m.: Everyone should try to be here between these times so we can say our hellos, and make sure everyone is ready to line up by noon.
12-12:15 p.m.: We join hands for fifteen minutes.
12:15-1 p.m.: We organize. Grassroots organizing has the power to bring clean energy to Broward, to clean up our oceans and waterways, to stop overdevelopment, protect our beaches, and leave a world fit for future generations.

For any local groups who would like to participate in actions and organizing, please message, e-mail us,, or TEXT ONLY to 954-405-1847.

Car pools are encouraged, but public transportation is even better! The 42 route runs down Atlantic Blvd. Check Google Maps for your best route with public transportation. If you're driving or car pooling, there's meter parking all along the beach, and metered lots across the street from the beach.

Make sure to bring sun protection, water, and bags and gloves if you want to do a little beach clean-up.
