The Army Corps of Engineers, under the Trump administration intends to grant the easement for the deadly Dakota Access Pipeline AND the Sabal Trail Pipeline without any waiting period. This is bad news not just for the Missouri River and the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, but for the environment and indigenous sovereignty EVERYWHERE.

As you may have heard by now, Bakken Oil's DAPL will run UNDERNEATH the sacred Missouri River LESS than one mile away from the Standing Rock Sioux tribes reservation. The DAPL will not only leak crude oil into the Missouri and the surrounding environment, poisoning the Standing Rock Sioux tribe's only source of drinking/cooking/bathing water, but it also furthers the oppression of indigenous people by desecrating their holy lands and burial grounds, and refusing their right to clean water.

If the threat to sovereignty and the environment doesn't motivate you enough, DAPL hired security teams and local law enforcement have showed immense displays of excessive force on those occupying the resistance camps in Standing Rock, ND. These UNARMED men, women, children, and elders have faced rubber bullets, concussion grenades, unknown chemical warfare, attack dogs, water cannons, unlawful arrests for trespassing on treaty land, mistreatment in jail, and much more. We must let them know that WE ARE WATCHING and we WILL take action!

This is the time for everybody who drinks water to take a stand. To also stand up for the original inhabitants of this land.

Speakers will be later announced as added. Feel free to invite friends or send the organizer a message if you have any questions. MNI WICONI! WATER IS LIFE!
