Greenpeace Jacksonville's Monthly Group Meeting

  • 2875 Park St Jacksonville, FL 32205 (map)

UPDATE: Greenpeace Jacksonville is thrilled to have the Women’s March Jacksonville chapter environmental committee join us at this meeting. As a national and statewide partner we have been involved since the beginning with the local level partnership between our two groups. Statewide Women’s March Florida will be involved with and joining Greenpeace’s efforts. We are so excited to have you all join us!!!

February 18th join us at the Willowbranch Library in Riverside

This is a great chance for anyone interested in Greenpeace Jacksonville to get involved!

We will be discussing local and statewide environmental issues.

These issues include:
The Sabal Trail Pipeline
Nuclear waste in South Florida
Discuss other local/statewide issues anyone might be concerned about

We will also be covering upcoming events, discussing previous events. What works and what doesn’t. What works for you? Our group is a work in progress this is a good chance to throw around ideas of what you would like to be a part of.

This will cover:
Upcoming awareness actions
Rallies
Local petition drives
Ocean awareness actions
Local clean ups and pollution awareness

Lastly, I would like to ask group members if there is a specific role or responsibility they’d like to take on. So, please think that over.

We hope to see you there!! Absolutely everyone is welcome!!

---A note for Women's March committee members. I will be sure to ask all of you to identify yourselves sometime during the meeting. We are going to have everyone gather afterwards. This will establish the time for the next committee meeting and anything else that needs to be addressed. I have been working closely with Women's March Florida since it became a non-profit. It has been made clear to me that they will be following our lead on environmental issues and actions, so sitting in on the meeting isn't actually so much of a separate thing. Although, the committee will obviously have separate priorities as well. Thank you! Don't hesitate to reach out with questions.
This could be a chance to establish some roles in the committee, decide on some core issues and objectives, decided who wants to follow legislation. We will be sure to address all of this.---
