On March 8, 2018, water protectors and concerned community members participated in a non-violent direct action (NVDA) in an effort to show their opposition to a large oil and gas project attempting to be completed near a school (the largest oil and gas project near a school in the country). Cullen Lobe was arrested as a result of this NVDA, choosing to boldly stand up for the children of Bella Romero, the South Platte River, the community of Greeley, and the earth. His selfless act is now being demonized by Extraction, he is not only facing two criminal charges, but he is the main target of a substantial lawsuit as well.
These charges, and the lawsuit, are both unreasonable and excessive. Extraction hopes to silence all opposition to their hazardous projects and inflict fear into the community—the majority of which vocally disapprove of the proposed project. Join us at his first court date to show support for him and those who choose to stand for more than financial gain. Join us as we stand united in the face of Extraction and say NO BELLA WELLS.
Hope to see you there!
