Honoring the Sacred - Red Rocks

  • Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre 18300 W Alameda Pkwy Morrison, Colorado 80465 United States (map)

Hello Relatives!
We are having another action! As we indicated on other posts, that this will be organized a different way.
We would like to remember and honor the Water that we fight for and that brought us together in Unity. And we would like everyone to continue moving forward in this movement by honoring one of the sacred sites that many of our ancestors came to, to hold ceremony, to camp and to gather.
Red Rocks on Morrison, Colorado is one of many sites across Colorado that holds Beauty that has been covered through environmental genocide.
We are asking that if you are able that you join us at the corner of Morrison road and C470 in the parking lot across the street from the ConocoPhillips station. (Philips is involved with the piepline), where we will hold a quick ceremony for the water and then continue a walk through the town of Morrison up to the Red Rocks.
If you are unable to make the walk, please meet us at the trading post and we will continue to walk up to the amphitheater where we will honor this place that has become drowned by consumerism and colonized by the non native cultures. We want to honor this site and to remember what we are fighting for as we continue to fight for Unci Maka, the water and for ourselves.
Please watch for more detailed information and please feel free to contact me, Canté Okic Ouye Wiya
