Training - Strategic Use of Direct Action

Join the Boulder County Protectors in a full day's training combining Direct Action 101 and 201. We will cover the theory, use and application of nonviolent direct action to prevent fracking in Boulder County.

Date: Sunday, April 23, 2017

Time: 12pm - 6pm

Location: Scornavacco Martial Arts Academy, 1830 Boston Ave., Suite F, Longmont, CO 80501

Sliding scale of $30 - $100. No one turned away for lack of funds. Donations needed for continued trainings and for our legal defense fund.

The training will cover the basics of direct action and how it works to build political power while addressing the basic ideas and concerns of anyone new to this profound and historic strategy.

We will also talk about the impending oil and gas drilling in Boulder County and how we are organizing to ban fracking around community rights and the Climate Bill of Rights.

If you have taken Direct Action 101 but not 201, we encourage to take this training as a way to complete Direct Action 201 and continue your involvement with the Boulder County Protectors.

People completing this training will be invited to to join our Boulder County Protectors Direct Action Implementation Sessions, where we will gather to strategize on how to ban fracking through many avenues.

Bring a sack lunch as we will have a very short lunch break.

Please join us for this full day's training!
