Local Government Rights and Responsibilities regarding Oil & Gas
Gathering Lines at the Drill Pad
PRESENTER: Josh Joshwick, Oil and Gas Accountability Project, Earthworks
Three-term La Plata County Commissioner, Josh Joswick, who has dealt with oil and gas issues for nearly 30 years as a private citizen, elected official and community organizer, will present on:
- the available legal avenue and the need for local governments to assert local land use rights regarding gathering line placement at the drill pad,
- why this is an important public safety issue, and
- what we should be asking our local governments to do.

Our local governments keep telling us their "hands are tied" regarding oil and gas operations in our communities.
COME FIND OUT how we can untie their hands, sign our Aurora and Arapahoe petitions, get a petition template for your county/city, and get the word out to your community.

What the Frack?! Arapahoe will also provide updates on other state and local oil and gas developments.

TUESDAY, APRIL 18, 6:30-8:30 pm at the Ecotech Institute
