Inside Scoop: Conservation Politics 2017

  • Quigly Hall, Western State Colorado University 600 N. Adams Street Gunnison Colorado (map)

A unique inside scoop into conservation politics on the West Slope and learn about our opportunities to move forward meaningful conservation work in 2017. State Senator Kerry Donovan, State Representatives Barbara McLachlan and Millie Hamner, and Gunnison County Commissioner Jonathan Houck will be sharing their thoughts on conservation politics in 2017 and will be highlighting our opportunities to move forward meaningful work at the state capitol and in our communities. This will be followed by a Q&A panel where you can pose your questions and learn how you can defend the values you care about.

If you love our public lands, value clean air, and consider the protection of our rivers a priority, this event will provide you with unique insights. Whether you are drawn to conservation because you enjoy getting outdoors or because your business depends on outdoor users and tourists, this is a great opportunity to engage with your strongest conservation legislators and representatives. Come learn about the environmental threats and opportunities we face in 2017, and most importantly, how you can help.
