  • Legislative Legal Services Office 200 East Colfax Avenue (Hearing Room A) #271 Denver, CO, 80203 United States (map)

FINALLY WE HAVE A DATE FOR THE HEARING FOR HB17-1124!

Buck’s HB17-1124

A bill for an act concerning a requirement that a local government that interferes with oil and gas operations compensate persons damaged by the interference.

This bill says that a city that bans fracking will be liable to the potential profits to the mineral owners, lesse holders and oil and gas operators, royalties, damages etc.

This bill is clearly designed to take the power away from the local governments to determine what oil and gas can do in their jurisdiction, by demanding compensation.

WE MUST NOT LET THIS BILL PASS! PLEASE SHOW FOR SUPPORT AND IF POSSIBLE BE PREPARED TO SPEAK AGAINST THIS BILL!

IF YOU PLAN TO SPEAK PLEASE BE PREPARED WITH CONCISE STATEMENTS ABOUT YOUR OPPOSITION TO THIS BILL!
