Nonviolent Direct Action Training Against Kinder Morgan (April 22 Victoria BC Canada)

  • Victoria Event Centre 1415 Broad Street British Columbia V8W 2B2 (map)

Want to learn more about nonviolent moral action this spring to challenge indigenous racism, the dirty carbon economy and Trudeau’s deceptive climate narrative?

Thinking of participating in local civil disobedience actions being organized by Rise & Resist in Victoria or the international mass mobilization against the Kinder Morgan pipeline in Burnaby?

In the spirit and tradition of everyday people of conscience engaging in nonviolent direct action/risking arrest to expose and engage in moral witness against injustice, we will conduct a training at 1-5pm on April 22 in Victoria, B.C. followed by a potluck dinner, climate emergency speakers (6:30-9), and dancing and song until midnight.

Experienced trainers from the Rise & Resist collective and Greenpeace Victoria will facilitate the training.

It's important that participants plan to attend the full training. Format will include small and large group discussion, role-plays and other interactive exercises. Please dress comfortably.

There is no fee to attend the training, but we will collect donations at the event to help cover costs.

Please contact 250.857.4078 or HBreen@shaw.ca if you have questions.

This event is hosted and co-sponsored by Rise & Resist, Social and Environmental Alliance, Greenpeace Victoria, Leap Victoria and the Victoria Event Centre.
