Divest Meeting

  • Concordia University 7th floor art nook Montreal Canada (map)

We've been quite busy since our last meeting with the mezzanine takeover, sustainability consultation, stakeholders' meeting, jsiac, publishing our first video, co-presenting a film screening, internal anti-colonialism training and so much more! Let's discuss campaign updates and continue to coordinate our activities.

We will be posting an agenda shortly - please send us a message if there are any items you'd like to discuss or bring your ideas to the meeting!

Snacks and drinks will be served - let us know if you have any dietary needs.

about us:

Divest Concordia is a group of students and community members calling on Concordia University to remove its investments in the fossil fuel industry. The Concordia campus - and the divest campaign - is on the traditional territory of the Kanien'kehá:ka people. Divest recognizes that resource extraction projects are inherently colonial and on-going resistance is mainly led by front-line indigenous communities. Our struggle is inextricably tied up with indigenous resistance to settler-colonialism and accordingly we align our work with anti-colonial and anti-racist climate justice organizing.
