Press Conference & Rally: Oppose Offshore Drilling and Fracking!

  • Santa Barbara City Hall 735 Anacapa Street Santa Barbara, CA, 93101 United States (map)

On Tuesday, Santa Barbara City Councilmember Jason Dominguez will introduce - and the City Council will be voting on – a Resolution calling for a halt to new offshore drilling and fracking off the California coast. To secure victory, we need a strong showing to demonstrate that the community is behind local leaders who are willing to stand up to Trump’s oily advances on our coast. We’ll kick off the City Council meeting with a press conference and then head inside to give public comment in support of the resolution.

Join us Tuesday, June 13th, at 1:30 pm outside Santa Barbara City Hall, to show your support in person for protecting our beautiful and diverse coastlines from offshore fracking and drilling.

With Trump’s recent executive order attempting to open the Pacific to new oil and gas drilling, and a moratorium on offshore fracking recently lifted by the feds, the Santa Barbara Channel is once again in the oil industry’s cross hairs. Now, more than ever, it is imperative that our local government voice its opposition to dirty and dangerous offshore drilling activities.

What: Press Conference outside Santa Barbara City Council Meeting
When: Tuesday, May 30th, 2:00 PM
Where: City Hall, 735 Anacapa Street
Santa Barbara, CA 93101

Let’s show Trump and his oil cronies that the Pacific ocean is off limits to new drilling and fracking.

See you there!
