About the Sepulveda Basin at Balboa Blvd CleanUp Site:

The Sepulveda Basin is where the first kayak trips took place. In addition to mallard ducks, herons and egrets, we’ve had raccoons and turtles show up. Beautiful orange orioles migrate through the area too. This section of the River is the first natural-bottom section on the River – a lush, green oasis in the middle of the San Fernando Valley.

Parking and check in will be available on both sides of Balboa Blvd with Sepulveda Basin Sports Complex on the west and Lake Balboa / Anthony C. Beilenson Park on the east. Volunteers are welcome enter the site from either location.
