Water is Life - Film Screening Melbourne (March 26, Footscray, Victoria AU)

  • Footscray Community Arts Centre 45 Moreland S Footscray, Victoria, Australia 3011 (map)

Water is Life is a documentary about the Aboriginal communities fighting against fracking plans in the NT. They learn from First Nations brothers and sisters in the US who are suffering the effects of greedy gas companies, and call on you to join their fight.

Right now, 80% of the Northern Territory is covered in ‘exploration licences’ for shale gas and oil. Most of the land gas companies are currently trying to frack in the NT is Aboriginal owned land.

Chief Minister Gunner and the NT Labor party will make a decision in the coming weeks about whether to allow thousands of dangerous fracked gas wells to destroy land and water, or to ban fracking for good.

Right now, we need to show the government that the whole of Australia is watching them, and that the risks of fracking the NT are just too high.
