Protect Alaska's Coast: Rally & Testimony (Feb 21 Anchorage AK)

  • Dena'ina Civic and Convention Center 600 W 7th Ave Anchorage, Alaska 99501 (map)

Join us Wednesday Feb 21st, 6:00 pm at the Dena’ina Center to hear the voices of people from coastal communities and submit public testimony for our shared opposition to the expansion of offshore drilling in Alaskan's oceans.

This is the ONLY hearing being held for the entire state of Alaska.

The current offshore drilling proposal will continue Alaska on an unsustainable economic and ecologic path if developed. We must raise our voices to ensure this exploration and development does not occur in our waters. The opportunity for written or spoken comment will be provided.
President Trump’s Interior Department has proposed opening essentially the entirety of the U.S. continental shelf waters for oil & gas exploration, including almost all of Alaska’s coasts. This represents an unprecedented threat to coastal communities and Indigenous livelihoods, the environments they depend on, and our global climate as we far exceed safe levels of fossil fuel use.
